I  became confused when I heard the word “Service” used with these agencies: Internal Revenue ‘Service’ U.S. Postal ‘Service’Telephone ‘Service’ Cable TV ‘Service’ Civil ‘Service’ State, City, County & Public ‘Service’

But today, I overheard two farmers talking, and one of them said he had hired a bull to ‘Service’ a few cows.

BAM!!! It all came into focus..  Now I understand what all those agencies are doing to us.

BP readies for the legislative onslaught, and their chief lobbyist David Nagel begins the PR spin, in this except from a Politico story by Jake Nagel:

“Their view on legislation that would raise the liability cap from $75 million to $10 billion? It’s “not where our head is at.” They are focused on the cleanup and mitigating economic impact, he said.

” “We will probably get asked for our view having gone through this experience, and we’ll answer questions, we’ll be very transparent and I’ll cooperate fully,” he said.

“What about criticism that the company wasn’t prepared for such a disaster?

“Nagel said the company mobilized right away but conceded the blowout valve, the last of several mechanisms meant to stop a massive leak, “was expected to work.” But it “hasn’t done what we all thought it would do.” ”
